Tonight, my mother passed away peacefully in her sleep.
Goodbye mother, may you find there the peace and the happiness that you were not able to find here.
In memory of my mother Rosetta Cicalese (1949-2015)
Last week my mother badly fell, hurting her foot and her hand. As always, she refused to go to the hospital to check the damages, and now her hand is covered by hematomas and she can't move it. So, I have to help her to dress and undress, eat and many other things that require both hands.
In the last days her condition worsened: she was not able to get up from bed by herself, she can't answer the phone and many other things that require a bit of "energy". Plus, she started to puke in the bed, and every time I had to clean everything, including her.
Today the worst part: she totally lost it in the brain too. This morning she believed twice that was already lunch time, she forgot my name and called me with the name of her sister that lives in another city, and claims to still ear the TV even when it's turned off! And she has no more balance to stay on her feet.
Against her will I called a doctor, and he said that her blood pressure was terrible low (Her "normal" value is 140-150, now is barely 80) so he gave us some new therapy, but for now there are no improvements at all.
Now I'm the only one taking care of her for everything, from morning till night, but if things are going to stay like this then I will ask for a forced admission to hospital!
